Job Details
- Position: Senior Security Administration Officer
- Location: Head Office, Pretoria
- Salary: R321,543 per annum (Level 8)
- Employment Type: Full-time
Requirements
To apply for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Security Management
- Policing
- Correctional Sciences
- Law
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in security-related operations and administration.
- Background in investigations will be an advantage.
- Experience in data security is an asset.
Certifications & Training:
- PSIRA Grade A Certificate (or equivalent experience in Police, Correctional, or Military training).
- If from SAPS, Defence, or Correctional Services, PSIRA registration is mandatory.
- State Security Agency (SSA) Security Managers Course (recommended).
- Valid Driver’s License.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in using computers (moderate level required).
- Understanding of:
- Electronic Security Systems
- Public Administration Regulations and Security Laws
- Investigation procedures and asset management
- Access control regulations for public premises
- Firearms Control Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Minimum Physical Security Standards (MPSS) and Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS)
- Constitution of South Africa
Skills:
- Program and project management
- Financial management (Procurement and contract handling)
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Leadership and conflict resolution
- Client service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation and training skills

Additional Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Top Secret (or must obtain it within a year of appointment).
- PSIRA Grade A Compliance (SAMTRAC training preferred).
- Availability: Must be willing to work irregular hours and travel extensively.
Responsibilities
Key duties for this position include:
- Assisting in the development and monitoring of security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Preparing procurement plans and managing the annual budget.
- Coordinating training and professional development for security personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with national security regulations and guidelines.
